Why The Looking Out Foundation?

Val is an avid fan of music. Most of her work is inspired by the artists and songs that she loves. One of her favorite musicians is Brandi Carlile, a co-founder of The Looking Out Foundation. They aim to amplify the impact of music by empowering those without a voice, which is precisely what music does for Val through her art.

While attending Brandi’s Girls Just Wanna Weekend 5, Val was able to donate her painting of Brandi Carlile, Phil Hanseroth, and Tim Hanseroth for auction where it raised over $1,000. This greatly inspired and moved Val to use her art as a tool to raise money for their cause.
